Congresswoman Jenkins' Statement on Administration's Overtime Rule

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, Michael Rounds, University of Kansas Associate Vice Provost for Human Resource Management, testified before the House Education and Workforce Committee in regard to the Administration’s new overtime rule. After the hearing, Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins (KS-02) released the following statement:

“As we heard in Vice-Provost Michael Rounds’ testimony, President Obama’s misguided overtime rule change would severely impact the ability of organizations like the University of Kansas to serve their students. With the implementation of this rule, KU will have to reduce or adjust services for students or increase tuition cost – which is simply unfair to our Kansas students. I will continue to work to undo the Administration’s overtime changes and help KU, and many other organizations like them, to be able to do their job to the benefit of Kansans and Americans.”
